Apparently it went up to 16 today! I took full advantage of it by going for a run outside when I got home from work. It was a bit windy, but honestly, even the wind was warm! I felt like it was easier to make myself push just a little harder.... when it's cold out I get the instinct to just hibernate and do as little as possible. I put on my ipod workout playlist I created and let Britney, Gwen and Fergie keep me motivated.
I went for groceries this evening as well. I've had a few more people ask for my blog link recently, and it prompted me to go back and read past posts. What I realized is, man I don't always eat the best! I am certainly no example of the "perfect" diet. But I came to the conclusion that I will forever be a work in progress. Some days I am really motivated to eat really clean - lots of fruits, veggies, fresh meals. Other days, all I want is processed food - junk. Weightloss really is all about the numbers. I've been able to consistently lose weight each week by taking in the right amount of calories. I strive to make better food choices, but I do still need treats each and everyday. If I did not allow myself this, well I would not have lost this much weight. I would not have made this lifestyle change at all if it were an all or nothing thing. And with that, you'll see in my grocery list that I bought a lot of treats. I wanted to stock my shelves with delicious snacks so that I had stuff on hand for whatever craving hits. This weekend was the first time in a long time that I was actually tempted to eat the chips and candy Brian was snacking on while we were watching TV. I need portion controlled snacks on hand so that I don't feel like binging on the super size bags of whatever my friends are consuming. My grocery list is a mixture of good for you foods and not so good for you foods. I am a work in progress.

Obviously this blog has really helped you. I'm very proud of you. I think consuming a large amount of fruits and veggies is the best way to stay "healthy" and keep from getting sick. I think every meal should definitely include veggies, especially dark greens. People would be surprised to know how many veggies I eat. It can definitely be done.
