It's Monday again! Why do the weekends past by so quickly? I just want a weeeee bit more sleep. Ah wells. I am down another 1.2 lbs which I'm actually quite pleased with. After doing kickboxing all week, I expected to maintain just for the first week while I developed some new muscles. But now I want to reach that 30 lb. mark so bad I can taste it! 1 more pound to go before I hit that milestone....
Weekend was good... Saturday was spent watching movies on the couch (Little Giants and Somethings Gotta Give), doing laundry, ironing, napping.... at night I attended my sister's girls night for a few hours and then Brian came over and we watched some TV before heading to sleep. Sunday we watched The Changeling, played some Super Mario on the Wii, made some mufins for him and tried our 3rd new recipe. I think it's the best yet! After dinner the plan was to go to Old Navy (I wanted workout shorts) and then go see Avatar. Well neither worked out so well. We arrived at Old Navy at 6pm forgetting that it closes at 6pm on Sundays. Sigh. Then we go to the movies (we're an hour early) and there's this new reserved seating thing... only there were only really bad seats left and Brian and I didn't even have seats together! We got to the front desk to see if we could exchange our tickets, only to find out that it was now sold out. So we just got our money back, went home and watched the movie Seven. We'll attempt to see Avatar on Thursday.
The recipe we tried yesterday was this Southwestern Chicken tinfoil wrapped thing. It was awesome! Basically it was rice and chicken topped with ranch dressing, shredded cheddar cheese, chili powder, broccoli and red pepper. I have leftovers for dinner tonight. Yum!
Meals for Saturday:
Breakfast - 1 scoop of slimfast powder, 1 cup of skim milk
Lunch - 12-grain bagel, 2 slices lean turkey, 1 tbsp. light mayo., 2 jamieson calcium chews, Banana
Snack - Jello sugar free pudding, Apple
Dinner - Smokin' stampede quesadilla (290 calories) , 1 cup v8 acai berry juice (1 fruit, 1 veggie)
Snack - 1/2 cup of broccoli/celery, 1 tbsp. roasted veggie and cheddar cheese dip, 8 rice crackers and 2 tbsp. salsa, Diet coke
Sunday's Meals:
Breakfast - Vitamuffin top (chocolate mint), 1 cup of skim milk
Lunch - 12-grain bagel, 1 tbsp. peanut butter, banana, 2 jamieson calcium chews, Diet coke
Snack - Jello sugar free pudding, Apple
Dinner - 1 serving of Soutwestern chicken dinner (390 calories)
Snack - Crystal light, 100 calorie Reese wafers
