Most gold medals ever? I am so proud to be a Canadian. That hockey game was stressful to watch though! My heart almost jumped out of my chest a few times! But the boys pulled through :)
I went for another run this morning and made better time than yesterday. Slowely but surely I will become a decent runner. I may go again tomorrow, depending on the weather.
Brian and I made dinner (chicken bruschetta bake) for us and my mom and sister. It was delicious as always! I love that recipe! And I have a leftover serving for lunch tomorrow (trying it without the cheese this time though).
Watched the movie Push this evening and quite enjoyed it! Might be one for Brian and I to buy eventually. I'd be up for watching it again.

Can it Please Stay Spring Now? Thanks.
Yesterday was so gorgeous out that I was able to go for a run outdoors and quite enjoy it! I only had to stop to walk once on my usual route. In the next couple weeks, I'd like to be able to run the entire thing (probably just over 3km). Then it's finding a new route.....sigh. I'm going for another run this morning while the weather still permits!
After my run, I enjoyed some lunch, went grocery shopping with my mom and then headed to Brian's where we watched the movie Defiance. It wasn't my kind of movie, but Brian seemed to like it. I just found it super slow paced.... I came home for dinner, did some laundry and then went through my drawers and closets and did the "throw away the fat clothes" thing. I don't want overflowing drawers and closets... especially since I want to buy a new summer wardrobe! So I've got about 2 garbage bags full of clothes for the Salvation Army... and I'm about half done :P I will finish the rest up this morning before my run. Brian came over after he was done work and we settled in and watched Stranger Than Fiction. I own this movie and love it, and was happy to show it to Brian and have him enjoy it too! I went to bed around midnight and am refreshed for the day!
Meals for Saturday:
Breakfast - 1 scoop of slimfast powder, 1 cup of skim milk, Banana (310)
Lunch - 1 slice of whole wheat toast, 1 tbsp. peanut butter, 1 tbsp. of honey, 1 cup of grapes, Sugar free pudding (400)
Snack - Fibre plus bar (120)
Dinner - Turkey sausage, 1/2 cup of multigrain rice, 1 cup of grilled peppers, red onion and mushrooms in 1 tsp. of oil (350)
Snack - Diet coke, 15 whole grain rice crisps, Package of keeblers fudge dipped pretzels (290)
Daily Total - 1470 calories, 24 grams of fibre

Friday, Friday, Friday!
It's been a good week me thinks. And women won the gold for hockey last night so that's kind of exciting! Men's semi finals tonight at 9:30pm... should be an intense one!
Got home from work last night and the real estate agent came over to talk to my parents about when the house goes up for sale and all the logistics. It's looking like it'll go up maybe middle of next week.... so the dreams of having it sold before Mom goes back to New Brunswick next weekend are slim to none. *Sigh* It's so uncomfortable to not be able to truly live in your home. I'm a homebody and having strangers poking around in there is unsettling to me. I hope it's all over soon.... and that I'm able to find a nice place to live when it sells. It's definitely a stressful time! So many unknowns....
Happy Friday everyone!
Meals for Thursday:
Breakfast - 1 cup of kashi oat and honey almond flax cereal, 1 cup of skim milk (300)
Snack - 1 cup of grapes, 1 cup of strawberries (150)
Lunch - 1/2 egg salad sandwich (1 slice of oat and honey bread, 1 hard boiled egg, 1 tbsp. light mayo), Apple, Sugar free pudding, Diet coke (400)
Snack - Kellogg's special k chocolate peanut protein snack bar (110)
Dinner - Michelina's chicken club flatbread (chicken, bacon, cheese, tomato, garlic) (290)
Snack - 100 calorie bag of cheetos, 100 calorie aero chocolate bar (200)

Surpassing Goals...
I'm so motivated right now! I went to Val's and did the treadmill tonight.... and ran for the first 30 minutes straight.... no stopping! Last week the time to beat was 20 minutes... So I ran the first 23 minutes at level 5.4 and then upped it to 5.6 for the last 7, then walked for 5 minutes, ran for another 5 and then walked 5 more to cool down. I followed this with 5 minutes of stretching (all while watching the hockey game of course!) My legs feel tired though....will definitely sleep well tonight!
I tried one of the treats my parents brought me home from Colorado... the hostess 100 calorie packs of lemon cupcakes.... oh my... let me just tell you.... they are AMAZING! You get 3 cupcakes (mind you they're fairly small) for 100 calories TOTAL. After 1 I was like... this is super sweet and indulgent, I don't even know if I can eat all three! Let's be honest though, of course I did! They're less than 35 calories each! But if something is sweet for me (I have the hugest sweet tooth on earth), then you know it's bound to satisfy yours! Mmmm lemony goodness.

Hectic Day Off....
So I thought since I got to sleep in and not go to work yesterday, my day would've ran a little more smoothly and would be a tad more relaxing... Instead I spent most of the day wishing I was at work! I woke up at 5am and tossed and turned in bed until my alarm went off at 7:45am. I know, I got to sleep in until 7:45am! It was crazy! But my body wouldn't let me.... it was still nice getting to lay in bed though. Then I got up and realized it was this snow/rain mix of mush going on outside.... so I got all dressed up (nice black pants, blouse, blazer, black high heeled boots - dressed to impress) and I get outside and I realize that yep, my high heeled boots were not the practical choice.... my feet were already soaking wet. My bus was 5 minutes early so I had to run through all the slushy puddles just to make it in time - only to have the bus take 45 minutes longer than usual to get to my destination due to an accident somewhere (I just saw a bunch of traffic piled up...) I get to the bus stop and start walking to City Hall to get my health card picture renewed. The place was practically empty so that took all of five minutes. This left me with an abundance of time downtown before my government test... so I walked to Rideau and shopped around for a couple of hours before catching a bus to my test. I get there over an hour early, which is perfect because I got lost walking around downtown twice, before figuring out that the test place is actually right next to my current place of work. Oh dear. After taking a little 30 minute detour, I settle in and take my test. It was exactly like my writing assignments in school. Had I taken the test right out of College, I would've aced it. But I've been so out of practice. I hope I did ok! I bused straight home after, took a hot bath and put on my comfy clothes. I spent the day walking through cold slush basically. I was exhausted. And I so count walking through slush in high heels for hours today as a decent workout! Anyone who walks in heels that long understands where I'm coming from, I'm sure. After I got all cozy, Brian and I went to Shopper's to run some errands, came back home and made some burgers for dinner. Then we watched the movie Fever Pitch, which I love, and then the hockey game. I'm so happy Canada won! Now we have to beat Russia tonight!

Productive Day....
Hello, hello. I am happy to report an actual productive day on my part! That's a rare occurance. I kept myself busy at work creating checklists for the new job I'll be taking over shortly. I'm feeling slightly more confident about it, though still a little lost.... I feel as though I'm in over my head sometimes....
Anyways, after work I came home and did some old school Wii Fit. It had been 63 days since I last used that particular game, so of course it was like, "Wow, you've lost 19.2 lbs!" I didn't do a particularly vigorous workout.... I was feeling rather sluggish today. So I did a light 25 minute workout and it felt much better to me than napping would. I then had dinner, did a mass cleaning of my room, and some ironing. Then it was prep time - I'm doing a government test tomorrow for a job with the Department of Justice. I'm a little nervous, but it'll be a learning experience nonetheless. And now it's relax time....and boy am I going to enjoy it! Brian downloaded me the Kevin Smith podcasts, so I'm getting started on those.

Breakfast - 1 cup of kashi oat and honey almond flax cereal, 1 cup of skim milk (300)

Down 34 lbs.....
Good morning all,
I'm down another 1.8 lbs this week for a total of 34 lbs. I am pretty happy with that number for sure! I like that I can eat what I want and still lose weight. I really enjoy healthy healthy breakfasts and lunches, so sometimes that allows me to indulge a little at night and still see the results I want. It's been great!
Yesterday was such a relaxing day! Brian and I watched Terminator Salvation, baked some muffins, and made our crisp and creamy chicken bake for dinner. It was so good! You put the chicken in 6 tbsp. of shake 'n' bake, and cook for 20 minutes. Then you pour a mixture of skim milk and cream of celery soup overtop, and top that with 1 cup of shredded marble cheese. You put back in the oven for 5 more minutes so that the cheese and sauce melts all over the chicken. We will definitely be making this again.... it was so good! After dinner, we walked over to Brian's (the weather has been so great!) and watched The Knowing before the hockey game started. Then we of course watched the Canada vs US game and were highly disappointed when we lost. Hopefully we can win the next one!
Meals for Sunday:
Breakfast - 1 cup of skim milk, 1 scoop of slimfast powder, Banana (310)
Lunch - 1 slice of oat and honey toast, 1 tbsp. peanut butter, 1 tbsp. honey, Apple, Sugar free jello pudding (410)
Snack - Orange, 1 cup of diet coke (80)
Dinner - 1 serving of crisp and creamy chicken bake (with the serving of rice), 1/2 cup of cooked baby carrots (450)
Snack - Easter cream egg (my first of the season and it was quite delicious!) (160)
Workout - 15 minute walk
Daily Total - 1410 calories, 20 g. fibre

Sunday...My Favorite Day Of The Week...
I love Sundays.... so relaxing.... and I know this one will be too! I have had a great weekend so far! Yesterday Brian and I played some Super Mario, did some reading, went for a walk to Shopper's so I could pick up a few things... then he headed off to work and Val came over. We made chicken bruschetta bake for dinner with a spinach, apple and raisin salad. Then we went and saw the movie Valentine's Day. That movie has gotten quite the bad rep....but I loved it! I didn't go in expecting it to be amazing, just because there's so many good actors in it.... I took it for what it was worth: An amusing chick flick....and I thought it was a really good one! I'll definitely be buying it when it comes out :-)
I got home from the movie around 9:15pm and Brian was home from work shortly after so we hung out some more before heading to bed around midnight.
Today will be movie watching, and then we're going to try out a Crisp-and-Creamy Baked chicken recipe with a side of cooked baby carrots.... and then of course the Canada vs US hockey game will be on...that'll be an intense one to watch!
Hope everyone is enjoying their fantastic weekends!

100th Blog Post...
Wow, I've been doing this a while! What have I improved upon since blog post #1? Well, I'm not only staying within a certain amount of calories, but I'm watching what exactly I put in my body as well. Almost everything has a purpose. I drink more water. I eat more fruits and veggies. More dairy. Lots more fibre. I enjoy food a lot more now too.
Now that I'm taking better care of my body, I've realized other areas that need improvement too. I don't have the greatest skin care routine. In the same way some naturally thin people eat too much junk because it doesn't affect them on the outside, I do not always take the best care of my skin because I've been blessed with skin that is clear. I know that in time this too will take its' toll. So I've gone to Shopper's and I've gotten myself a good day time cream, a good foundation with SPF, and some facial cloths for cleaning off my makeup at night. Most of the time I'm too lazy for this... so it is something I shall work on!
I did groceries at No Frills yesterday, picking up lots of good food:
-Bananas
-Apples
-Grapes
-Baby carrots
-Hamburger buns
-Country Harvest Oat and Honey bread
-Blue menu portion controlled burgers
-Stovetop stuffing
-Shake 'n' Bake Extra Crispy
-Diced tomatoes
-Cream of celery soup
-Blue menu low sodium minestrone soup
-100 calorie packs of crunchy cheezies
-Riceworks sea salt whole grain rice crisps
-Weight watcher's smart ones rigatoni meal
-Chicken pot pies
-PC Smokin' Stampede Quesadillas
-Michellina's Chicken club flatbread meal
-Kashi Oat and honey flax cereal
-2L bottle of diet coke
- Crunchy oatmeal and peanut butter granola bars
After grocery shopping on Friday, Brian and I put in a frozen pizza. We spent the evening watching I Love You Beth Cooper and The Hangover....ok so I napped during some of it! And then we both did some reading. I was exhausted! I slept from 11pm-9:30am...it was glorious!
Meals for Friday:
Breakfast- Vitamuffin top, 2 jamieson calcium chews, Apple (220)
Snack- Unsweetened apple and pomegranite applesauce, 1 cup of pineapple, 1 cup of green grapes (230)
Lunch - Diet coke, 2 slices of weight watcher's bread, 2 oz. leftover turkey, 1 tbsp. light mayo., Jello sugar free pudding (310)
Snack - Fibre one granola bar (140)
Dinner - 1/4 of a pepperoni pizza (300)
Snack -1 small pk. of kit kat bites, 100 calorie bag of crunchy cheezies (290)
Daily Total - 1490 calories
I could've used some veggies in my meals yesterday but I was in one of those tired, lazy moods. It happens on occasion :-) I will definitely be making up for that today!

Back to the Treadmill....
Just wrote a decent post and it didn't save properly.... urghs! Anyways, I went to Val's to workout this evening. I decided to do an incline of 2 instead of the 1 I usually do. By the time I hit 8 minutes, I was feeling so tired! I told Val, I'm only doing 10 for the first bit tonight. She just said, try 12. Once I got to 12 I remembered that the pain doesn't get worse so I can definitely push through it. I decided, I'm going to do 20 minutes of straight running! And I did :) My highest time before was 17 minutes on an incline of 1 so I was quite happy to beat that. I did a speed of 5 (can't remember what my speed was last time). So I ended up doing 20 minutes of running, 8 minutes of walking, 10 minutes of running and then 12 minutes of walking. A total of 50 minutes on the treadmill. I followed this with 10 minutes of stretching. It was a good hour long workout and I feel quite accomplished :)

No Biggest Loser Tuesdays :(
Was a bit disappointed to find out The Biggest Loser wasn't on last night.... nor will it be on next Tuesday night.... It wouldn't have been so bad if they hadn't had a "to be continued" episode last week. I'm dying to know what happens and now I have to wait until March 2nd! That seems forever away! Oh well, it gave me the opportunity to watch most of the hockey game.... and Canada won 8-0 so really, I'm glad I got to experience that!
And I'm going back to working out at Val's on Wednesday nights so I'm looking forward to that this evening.... wonder if my running has improved, stayed the same, or gotten worse since I haven't used the treadmill in a while. I'll keep you posted!

Long Weekend Ending....
It went by far too fast! Today I woke up and decided to go for a run outside with my sister. It's a little hard to run against the February winds, but I think we did quite well! After lunch I walked over to Brian's and we watched Inglorious Bastards. It was a good movie, but did not live up to the hype, in my opinion. Glad I finally saw it though. We headed back to my place because my mom was making a big turkey dinner. It was delicious! And tonight we relaxed and watched He's Just Not That Into You. Hopefully my stupid eye starts to feel better soon.... it's making me feel permanently tired!
Meals for today:
Breakfast - 2 slices weight watcher's toast, 1 tbsp. peanut butter, 1 tbsp. sugar free raspberry jam, 1 cup skim milk, 1 cup pineapple
Lunch - 1/2 flax bagel, 1 slice lean turkey lunch meat, 1 tbsp. light miracle whip, Banana, Sugar free jello pudding

32.2 lbs and Counting....
Okay, so I said I was going to try not to weigh myself this week, but I did. It helped me to only weigh myself the once though! And I'm down another 2.2 lbs this week for a total of 32.2 lbs :-) I'm pretty happy about that.... especially after a weekend with a party and Valentine's Day.
Yesterday was great. I went to Brian's house around 11am and he got me a lovely bouquet of flowers, a cute card, and the blu ray dvd of Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs, which is a movie I've been wanting to own since it came out in theatres. It's such a great movie! We headed to Boston Pizza to celebrate his sister's birthday. Afterwards we went to my house where my dad put Brian to work setting up some office furniture he had just bought. My parents got us a movie gift card for Valentine's Day, which is perfect if you know us :-) We like our movies! We left around 3pm to go to my cousins house for dinner to celebrate my sister's engagement. We stayed there until about 7:30pm. When Brian and I got home we, of course, curled up and watched Cloudy With A Chance of Meatballs.
Only thing that made yesterday (and today) not the greatest is that I appear to have some ingrown eye lash or something. So not only do I not look the greatest, but it also hurts! Ughs. Looks like I have a bit of a swollen black eye :P Come on polysporin eye drops! Work your magic!
Meals for Valentine's Day:
Breakfast - Vitamuffin top, 1 cup of skim milk, Banana
Lunch - Boston Pizza Delicious Alternative Citrus chicken salad (360 calories), Diet pepsi
Appetizers - 3 slices of celery, 2 pieces of broccoli, 1 tbsp. calorie wise ranch dressing, 1 bite of this brie cheese with cranberry and pecans wrapped in pastry thing
Dinner - 1 cup of pasta, 1/4 cup of spaghetti with meat sauce
Snack - 1 small bag of kit kat bites (190 calories for the bag)

My Version Of Romance....
I'm not the buy me candies and flowers all the time kind of girl. Though it is nice once and a while. I like little notes, phone calls, e-mails. I like actions. Brian came over after work yesterday and began helping me clean my house when I was having a bad day. That to me was one of the most romantic things he could've done. It gave me more time to relax, watch a movie, enjoy the day. Thank you Brian for your continued awesomeness. So that is what my afternoon consisted of: cleaning. Then we had dinner and watched Funny People. That is a really great movie for those of you who haven't seen it. If you know the background, it's like a yearbook glance into Judd Apatow's (Writer and Director) life. It has footage from his College days (with his roommate Adam Sandler), cameos from important people in his life, his wife and kids are in it, etc. It's really neat to watch!
Tonight I'm going to a house party, which should be tons of fun because I haven't seen most people since New Years. I'm excited to get dressed up! :-)
Meals from yesterday:
Breakfast - 1 cup of skim milk, Vita muffin top, Banana
Snack - Apple & pomegranite applesauce (unsweetened)
Lunch - Whole wheat pita, 2 slices lean ham, 1 tbsp. light miracle whip, Jello sugar free pudding
Snack - Special k fruit crisps
Dinner - 1/2 can of blue menu low sodium minestrone soup, Apple, 1 cup diet cranberry pomegranit juice
Snack - Riceworks sea salt organic brown rice crisps, Hershey's chocolate caramel stick

What A Day, What A Day....
Today was just one of those weird days... tiring days..... I'm sure I'll rest up good tonight and be energized for tomorrow!
Yesterday I went grocery shopping after work. Picked up lots of good stuff! Then Brian picked me up at the grocery store and we headed to Blockbuster to check out the previously viewed movies. After we stocked up on movies, we headed to my place to make the yummy turkey burgers I found a recipe for. They're basically ground turkey with taco seasoning and miracle whip mixed in. You make 12 small patties. On top of 6 patties you put a cheddar cheese and salsa mixture. Then you top those with the other half of the patties. They were so delicious! And then of course it was Biggest Loser night. It was a "To Be Continued" episode so that was rather annoying. I have to wait a week to find out who got kicked off? Ughs!
Here's what I picked up grocery shopping:
- Bananas
- Broccoli
- Weight watcher's bread

- Ground turkey
- Frozen stir fry veggies

Tonight is my last night at kickboxing. I'm going to miss it, but I'll make the most of it this evening! I told Brian I'm going to work so hard he may have to carry me to the car after... ha ha.
Meals for Tuesday:
Breakfast - Vitamuffin top, 1 cup of skim milk, Orange
Snack - Apple, 2 jamieson calcium chews
Lunch - Whole wheat pita, 2 tbsp. roasted veggie and cheddar cheese dip, Jello sugar free pudding, Diet coke

Finally at the 30 lb. Mark !
Yays! Finally reached 30 lbs. loss! Only lost 1 lb. this week, but I know it's going to be slower now and I'm ok with that. I might wait a few weeks before weighing myself again... then again maybe I'll cave and weigh in. We'll take it day-by-day. I'm at a healthy weight, the rest of the loss is just for appearance purposes so it's ok that it's slower.
Yesterday I went with Brian and his mom to a lunch for his Nanny's birthday. It was really fun and I hadn't seen his extended family since the summertime so it was really good to see everyone!

Shopping Spreeee!
Well, not a full on shopping spree, but I had a mini and much deserved one! See my clothes I bought on boxing day are all already too big. I don't want to buy too much now since I'm still losing weight, but I want to feel cute. I only had time to go into one store before my hair appointment so I headed into Dynamite since they usually have cute stuff. I ended up wanted everything I tried on! I narrowed it down though, as hard as that was.... I ended up with a t-shirt (size medium!) and 3 longer shirts.... the kind you wear leggings with. They look like dresses but too short? Anyways, they're super cute! One is a plaid one with pockets and a zipper up the front, one is black with a nice neckline and a cinched waist, and the third is grey with a flower and cute buttons to the side of the neckline. I'm quite pleased with everything :-) Next on my list? Workout shorts and new bras.... Next time I have some extra money, that's what I shall do! Then I got my haircut. I got a few inches taken off and got it thinned out a bit. It feels so light and bouncy! I love it. After the workout I met up with Brian. We had subway for dinner and then headed to the Martial Arts place for some workouts. My kickboxing was first so I did that and then showered / got ready while he was doing jiu jitsu. After that I headed to Val's for girls night. It was fun! We had some tea, caught up a bit and watched Definitely, Maybe. My sister called me with some exciting news.. I won't post it on here but those of you who know her, will know what I'm talking about. I'm quite happy for her :-)
Today has been pretty lazy. I slept in, watched some tv, played some Super Mario, Brian and I made some muffins... and now I'm just relaxing some more. The weekdays leave me in kind of a sleepy daze all weekend.... ah well, rest up if I need to I say! Tomorrow I'm heading to Alymer with Brian and his mom for his grandmother's birthday lunch. That should be fun!
On another note - I need to reanalyze my calorie intake because I think with the workouts I've been doing, I've been gaining some muscle.... lately I've been soooo hungry! I've gone to bed starving almost every night for the past couple of weeks and I'm always starving between breakfast and lunch now (even if I have a snack in between). So I need to start eating bigger amounts than you'd think someone trying to lose weight should. But from what I've learned in the past, if I go to sleep hungry, I don't lose weight. So this morning I couldn't sleep past 8am because my stomach was so empty. I went downstairs, got some toast with peanut butter, a cup of milk and a kiwi and had that and then went back to sleep. I know it sounds awesome to be able to eat so much and still probably lose weight, but it also means waking up earlier to eat bigger breakfasts during the week too :P Oh well, we'll play it by ear.

FRIDAY!!!!
I finally saw Avatar last night.... it was phenomenal! I seriously loved it. I mean, I had to ignore some of the hype... people saying it would change the way I'd see movies from now on... if I'd believed all that, I would've been disappointed. But it was magical to watch and is definitely worth going to see.
It's going to be a busy day!! After work I'm going to get my haircut, going shopping, heading to kickboxing, showering there and then going to Val's for girls' night. I shall be exhausted indeed! But it's going to be fun :-)
One of my couple friends (who were engaged) are now single. It's weird because I didn't have a lot of friends in the past who were in serious relationships so I never bothered to really get to know their significant other if they had one. But this couple was together when I met them. It's such a weird feeling. Because you know one of them will stay in the group of friends, and the other will most likely move on without saying goodbye. And then eventually we'll have to get to know a new significant other. It makes me sad. I sincerely hope the breakup is not for good. They seemed so good together. And I don't want to lose a friend.
Meals for Thursday:
Breakfast - Vitamuffin top, 1 cup of skim milk
Snack - Apple, 2 jamieson calcium chews
Lunch - 4 triscut crackers, 3 tbsp. bruschetta, Kiwi, Sugar free pudding
Snack - Chocolate peanut butter granola bar
Dinner - 4 chicken nuggets, 1/2 cup of peas, 1 cup of acai berry v8 juice
Snack - Diet coke, 60 calorie hershey's caramel stick, 10 sweet potato tortilla chips (so good!)

Cannot Wait For Summer Weather....
Can't wait for shorts and sun and swimming and lazing. Why can't it just be June already? Had a busy day at work today which was nice. Time flew. Tonight I went grocery shopping and then to kickboxing. Was a ton of fun as always. Found some new things grocery shopping again so I shall post what I picked up in case anyone out there needs ideas:

- Pears
- Lettuce
- Tomato
- Whole wheat pita
- Boneless, skinless chicken breasts (4)
- Blue menu sweet potato tortilla chips (they look so good!)
- Smokin' Stampede quesadillas
- BBQ chicken and hot peppers pizza (looks like the one from pizza pizza, so yum!)
- Taco seasoning
- Light miracle whip
- Jello sugar free pudding
I also made an amazing pasta dish for dinner tonight. I cooked some omega 3 pasta with protein, steamed some broccoli and red onion, cut up some sundried tomatoes.... mixed it all together in 1/4 cup of red pepper alfredo pasta sauce.... yum! Even better than a restaurant, I swear. And quite nutritious!

Bad Mood Gone!
Woots! My cranky pants mood is gone! Yesterday was horrible. I was just in the worst mood at work and everything seemed to irritate me. But then I got to go home, take a nice bath, watch some good TV with Brian and nap on the couch. It was a relaxing night that I am thankful I had!
Biggest Loser was 9pm-11pm last night so I'm only running on about 6 hours of sleep... but I'm feeling decently well rested so that's good. It'll be a latte kind of day though for sure. Biggest Loser was good, but I'm starting to get attached to the contestants! Pretty soon I'll be crying everytime someone gets kicked off.... oh dear.
Meals for Tuesday:
Breakfast - Vitamuffin top (banana chocolate chip flavor), 1 cup of skim milk
Snack - Banana, 2 jamieson calcium chews
Lunch - 12-grain bagel, 2 slices lean turkey, 1 tbsp. light mayo, Apple, Kiwi
Snack - Fibre one granola bar
Dinner - Blue menu portion controlled burger, bun, 1 tbsp. ketchup, 1 tsp. mustard, 1/2 cup of peas, Diet dr. pepper
Snack - 100 calorie bag of lays, 100 calorie reese wafers

1 Weekday Down, 4 To Go....
That's the way the beginning of the week is already feeling like.... a countdown. I'm just drained right now and I don't want to have to go through the work week this week. I just wanna curl up in bed and sleep for days. That'd be nice. I'm just in an all around bad mood right now. Ah well, this too shall pass, right?
Had kickboxing tonight. Learning lots of new things each class, which is awesome. It's still a crazy intense workout, but I'm already noticing that it doesn't have me out of breath as much as those first couple classes did. Yay for getting in better shape!
Meals for Monday:
Breakfast - Vitamuffin top (double chocolate flavor), 1 cup of skim milk
Snack - Banana, 2 jamieson calcium chews
Lunch - 4 tomato and basil triscuts, 1 tbsp. chipotle humus, Apple, Fat free vanilla pudding
Snack - Fibre one granola bar
Dinner - 1 serving of leftover southwestern chicken meal (recipe Brian and I made on Sunday - 390 calories)
Snack - 2 chips a hoy cookies (110 calories for 2)
Workout - 45 minutes Kickboxing

29 lbs and Counting....
It's Monday again! Why do the weekends past by so quickly? I just want a weeeee bit more sleep. Ah wells. I am down another 1.2 lbs which I'm actually quite pleased with. After doing kickboxing all week, I expected to maintain just for the first week while I developed some new muscles. But now I want to reach that 30 lb. mark so bad I can taste it! 1 more pound to go before I hit that milestone....
Weekend was good... Saturday was spent watching movies on the couch (Little Giants and Somethings Gotta Give), doing laundry, ironing, napping.... at night I attended my sister's girls night for a few hours and then Brian came over and we watched some TV before heading to sleep. Sunday we watched The Changeling, played some Super Mario on the Wii, made some mufins for him and tried our 3rd new recipe. I think it's the best yet! After dinner the plan was to go to Old Navy (I wanted workout shorts) and then go see Avatar. Well neither worked out so well. We arrived at Old Navy at 6pm forgetting that it closes at 6pm on Sundays. Sigh. Then we go to the movies (we're an hour early) and there's this new reserved seating thing... only there were only really bad seats left and Brian and I didn't even have seats together! We got to the front desk to see if we could exchange our tickets, only to find out that it was now sold out. So we just got our money back, went home and watched the movie Seven. We'll attempt to see Avatar on Thursday.
The recipe we tried yesterday was this Southwestern Chicken tinfoil wrapped thing. It was awesome! Basically it was rice and chicken topped with ranch dressing, shredded cheddar cheese, chili powder, broccoli and red pepper. I have leftovers for dinner tonight. Yum!
