Kicking Weightloss Ass.

So I'm not going to lie, I was craving grease this morning! I was extra hungry for some reason today.... and my coworker was eating a big greasy breakfast (you know the bacon, eggs, toast, homefries, ketchup, the works kind of thing). It smelled so delicious! But as my title says.... I am kicking weightloss ass. Nothing can stop me now. I am so beyond motivated. Brian, Val & I all worked out together tonight. Brian did some punches, kicks, and the bike, Val did the eliptical, while I did the treadmill. I'm pretty proud of myself. I definitely went above and beyond what I am usually capable of. First of all, I was on there for a full 40 mins. And I did 12 mins running (level 5), 4 mins walking (level 3.6), 10 mins running, 4 mins walking, 7 mins running, 3 mins walking. So I ran 29 and walked 11. Wowzas. I was in pain....I pushed through it.....it feels....fantastic! So I told Val that next week, if I do the same intensity, fine, but do not allow me to do less because I've already proved I can do at least what I did today. No more of this, "I'm tired...it hurts too much...." Suck it up and push through it. If you want something bad enough you will work as hard as you can for it. If you give a half assed effort, you will get half assed results.

On another note - I bought Caltrate calcium chews with vitamin D in them today. They were on sale and apparently vitamin D helps the winter blahs a bit naturally so I figured, sign me up! And I probably don't get enough calcium in the run of the day. Plus, they taste delicious and are only 20 calories for the 2 so it's an extra treat each day!

Meals for today:

Breakfast- healthy muffin (made by mom - it's a "muffin top" made with red river cereal, blueberries, craisins and very little sugar. Approx: 120 calories), Banana

Snack- Apple

Lunch- 12 pita crisps, 2 tbsp. low fat artichoke and asiago dip, Kiwi, Chocolate granola bar, Diet coke

Snack- Starbucks venti (large) skinny caramel latte (160 calories)

Dinner- 2 slices weight watchers bread, 2 oz. turkey, 1 tbsp. light mayo, 1 cup of spinach salad, 1 tbsp. balsamic fig vinagrette dressing, 2 caltrate calcium chews in strawberry flavor (20 calories for 2)

Snack- 4 tomato and basil triscut crackers

Workout- 40 mins on treadmill, 5 mins stretching

Oh and I'll obviously be working out again tomorrow because you know there's a 6 pack of beer in the fridge with my name on it for New Years Eve partying ;)

Thankful for a Shorter Work Week....

Even just a long weekend can make it difficult to get back into the swing of things at work. Not to mention barely anyone was there today! It's hard to be productive when 90% of your office is still off on holidays. So not fair. Oh well, only a couple days left until another long weekend. I could get used to those.....

My sister started her healthy eating adventure today, yay! She seems to be doing well. She did a big grocery trip yesterday, picking up tons of fruits, veggies, meat, low fat dairy, etc. She was hungry today, but told me that she knows it's just boredom at work. She's going to try bringing lower calorie foods that take longer to eat (ie grapes or popcorn). I know that I love to eat and so I bring smaller meals to eat throughout the day. I'm basically eating at all times :P And losing weight.... weird, huh?

Tonight I'm going to hangout with Brian and perhaps watch a movie. I think we're both due for a lazy night in.

Meals for today:

Breakfast- Slimfast muffin bar, Starbucks skinny caramel latte

Snack- Banana

Lunch- 6 salt and cracked pepper bagel crisps, 2 tbsp. of baba ganoush dip, 1 cup of cantalope

Snack- S'mores granola bar

Dinner- Weight watcher's smart ones tuna casserole meal, 1/2 cup of peas, Diet coke

Snack- Hershey's chocolate caramel stick (60 calories)

*Sigh* Back to Work....

The holidays seemed so short! Those 4 days off went by so quickly...I'm ready for another vacation! Ah well, I made my last vacation day count and had a blast. I spent the day with Annie watching girly movies, catching up, had dinner together, etc. Then after dinner Brian came over and we worked out together using my new Wii Active game. We tried the "sports day" workout on hard. I found it a really good workout! It was a lot of variations of squats and lunges. My legs feel tired today! Then we just relaxed and watched tv for a bit before I went to bed.

Meals from yesterday:

Breakfast- 1 slice of whole wheat toast, 1 tbsp. peanut butter, 1 banana, 1 cup of skim milk

Lunch- 15 pretzels, 2 tbsp. baba ganoush dip, 1 cup of cantalope, 1 sugar free pudding, diet coke

Snack- 7 real fruit gummies (110 calories)

Dinner- 1 cup of whole wheat bow tie pasta, 1/2 cup of vegetarian bolognese sauce, 1 cup of spinach salad with 1/2 cup up apple, 1 tbsp. of balsamic fig vinagrette dressing

Snack- 2 chips a hoy wreath cookies (110 calories)

Workout- 32 minutes Wii Active Sports Day (hard difficulty)

Fondue Party Tonight.... Weigh in Tomorrow....

I feel like I haven't had any relaxing time at all! After Christmas I love to take the books, magazines and movies I got, and just veg on the couch and enjoy the gifts. I haven't had a spare moment to do so! BUT I've been spending time with all the people I love most in the world and who would want to change that?

Boxing Day shopping was quite successful! Mom and I went to the mall and because of the weather, the mall was so not busy in the morning! I got first pick of the change rooms and got some really great clothing deals! I only really went into Jacob and Dynamite for clothes. I came out with 4 pairs of pants and 4 tops! It was amazing! Pants were $18-$25 and tops were $12-$28. So now I have clothes that actually fit me! My work pants had started falling down quite a bit...I also got a pair of winter boots from Payless (regular $75 on sale for $29!) And as if that shopping wasn't enough, I went to Future Shop with Brian after lunch and we decided to splurge on a tv! I'd been saving up for one.... and we know we'll be buying one when we move out.... so we figured, why not buy one now if the sales are so great? So we got a 37" LCD for about $650. We went splits on it so I joked that now Brian and I can't break up ha ha. Then my parents came over to his house to have dinner with his parents. It seemed to go pretty well which means a lot to Brian and I :-)

I'm starting to feel a cold coming on, but I'm going to make it go away for sure! I came home early last night and was asleep by 11pm and my alarm went off at 9am! I probably could've slept even more than 10 hours but I knew I needed to be up for my busy day! This morning I'm doing laundry and going to work out (either trying out my new Wii Active or my new Wii Your Shape), then I'm going to get to see Melissa for an hour or so (yay!), then Val will pick me up and we'll head to the mall to get her a New Years Eve dress, come back to my place and have dinner together, and then we're having a bunch of girls over for a fondue night with girly movies in our pjs. It's going to be cute! And ..... tomorrow I get to weigh in and let you all know how well I've done over the last few weeks! I'm pretty excited!!

Meals for yesterday:

Breakfast- 1 slice of whole wheat toast, 1 tbsp. peanut butter, 1 banana, 1 cup of skim milk

Lunch- 2 slices of weight watcher's bread, 2 oz. turkey, 1 tbsp. light mayo, 1 apple, Diet coke

Snack- Curves granola bar

Dinner- 3 oz. of chicken monteray dinner (chicken stuffed with ham and cheese), cream of mushroom soup on top, 1/2 cup of white rice, 1/2 cup cooked carrots

That's all!

It's Christmas Eve Ya'll!

Merry Christmas Eve everyone! It's an anxious time of year for those trying to eat healthy, with turkey, potatoes, stuffing and pies surrounding us everywhere we look. I have done so well thus far though and wouldn't want a couple days to ruin the success I'm experiencing. I am confident that I will be mindful! It helps to plan ahead with what you will and will not indulge in (which I have). Last night after a good workout I treated myself to a small homemade shortbread cookie (made by my mom). Tonight I will try a small piece of peanut butter cup pie that I made. Tomorrow I will try one cherry coconut ball that my mom makes. As I see others reach for 5-6 sweets at a time, I will be enjoying my one treat without the sore tummy from overreating around the holidays. I planned to workout this afternoon, but it's been such an exhausting week. My body is tired and I am tired. I am going to take a nap shortly so that I can keep up my excitement for Christmas dinner and gift exchange with Brian and his family. I'll update tomorrow :-)

Meals from Wednesday:

Breakfast- 2 slices of weight watcher's toast, 1 tbsp. peanut butter, 1 cup of skim milk

Snack- 1 cup of mixed berries, Diet coke

I love to see how excited little kids get when they know Santa is coming soon. I love picking out the perfect gifts and watching loved ones as they open theirs. It's such a wonderful feeling. I love it all!

Loving Wii Fit Lately....

I've had my Wii and Wii Fit for about..... a year and a half, but am only starting to really appreciate it now! Sure it was fun at first to try to beat other people's scores in the different games, but you can get an amazing workout in if you really push yourself! I was tired today after my lack of sleep last night, but decided to workout anyways. I think I'm going to workout 5 days this week, skipping only tomorrow (Dec. 22) and Christmas day (obviously Dec. 25). My muscles are sore so I'm glad I chose to skip tomorrow... give myself a bit of a rest before my treadmill run at Val's on Wednesday! I think in the New Year I may add in a bit of weight training too so I can start really sculpting. It's fun seeing this transformation!

Today was a potluck at work.... not much healthy foods to choose from. I think I did pretty well though!

Today's Meals:

Breakfast- 1/2 cup of cooked oatmeal, 1tbsp. of peanut butter, 1 cup of skim milk

Snack- Starbucks "skinny" caramel latte, Banana

Lunch- 1/3 of a whole wheat pita, 2 tbsp. roasted red pepper dip, 1 small piece of cheese, 1/4 of a mesquite chicken quesadilla, 1 tbsp. garlic dip, Diet coke, 2 chocolate covered fruits (from m&m meats, 55 calories for 2 and super tasty!)

Snack- Apple

Dinner- 3 oz. chicken, 2 tbsp. sweet chili thai sauce, red, orange and green pepper, onion, broccoli and celery, cooked in 1 tsp. canola oil

Snack- Advent calendar chocolate (70 calories)

Workout- 31 minutes on Wii fit. 5 minute advanced step class, 13 minutes expert boxing, 5 minutes advanced step class, 2 minutes hula hoop, 5 minutes long basic run, 2 yoga stretch moves.

A Few Days Til Christmas!

I've got my Starbucks in hand, there are Christmas carolers in the lobby....all is good this morning everyone! Despite being exhausted from a busy weekend that ended with a late night concert.....but it was so worth it! Default, The Used, and especially Three Days Grace, were all great live!

And now there's just a few short days until Christmas. This work week is going to drag on because I'm such a child and Christmas is so exciting to me!! Thankfully, work dies down quite a bit and everyone is in jolly Christmas spirits today!

Meals from yesterday:

Breakfast- 1 egg omelet with red & green peppers, mushrooms and onions, 1 cup of skim milk, 1 cut up apple

Lunch- 1 whole wheat pita, 2 tbsp. roasted red pepper dip, Banana, 1 sugar free pudding

Snack- Chocolate granola bar

Dinner- (at Kelsey's restaurant) veggie burger on sesame bun with bruschetta and taziki sauce on top, side garden salad with balsamic vinagrette dressing, diet pepsi

For workouts I did 40 mins on my wii fit: Started off with advanced step class, Free run, Expert boxing, basic hula hooping, advanced step class again, and finished it off with some yoga moves. I also did a whole lot of jumping around during the 3.5 hour concert! The joys of standing on the floor near the stage :-) Ah, such a great concert!

Struggling with Normalcy.

Does anyone else have the problem where if they decide to have a baked good or something, they feel like they've immediately put on 5 lbs? I'm definitely struggling with that right now. Honestly, the cookie, or square, or whatever, would have to be 17,500 calories over your daily amount in order to gain 5 lbs and that's like the most ridiculous thing ever. But I still feel guilty sometimes after I indulge. I'm slowely trying to get over it though. In one week I finally get to weigh in again and I'm very excited to see how I did!

I had a great weekend. It was busy but full of fun for sure. Friday night Brian and I baked squares (this is where I tried one for a snack), and then headed out to Darcy McGee's for a friends birthday. On Saturday we attended a cookie exchange party from 11am-4pm. I meant to try 2 of the 24 kinds of cookies.... but I didn't really feel like eating any of them! I was super hungry when I got home though! I got home Saturday around 4:30pm and my parents were home!!!!! It was so awesome to see them after 3 months! Brian and I had dinner with them and then challenged my mom to some wii bowling (where she totally kicked our asses!) At 9pm we did our gift exchange with Val (she got me some awesome home decor from Hola), and then we headed to our friend Nick's for a party. Today I've been relaxing, did a good workout, some laundry, etc. Brian and I are heading to dinner and then the Three Days Grace concert tonight so that should be fun! I'll be exhausted tomorrow though.... Ah well, 'tis the season!

Friday's meals:

Loving Random Dinners....

Today was the Christmas party at work. It was definitely a lot of fun (even though I didn't win a single door prize)! Everyone was drinking and having a good time. I steered clear of the liquid calories though :P They also must've ordered about 50 Gabriel's pizzas.... man they smelled pretty good! But, not enough to tempt me! Instead I stuck with the lighter options. Also, for dinner tonight, I really didn't feel like having a meal. I was in the mood for snacking. So I made a random, yet delicious plate of food.

Breakfast- 1/2 cup of cooked oatmeal, 1 tbsp. peanut butter, 1 cup of skim milk

Snack- Apple

Lunch- 2 slices of turkey deli meat, 1/2 cup of salad, 1 tbsp. vinagrette dressing, 1/2 pita, 1 tbsp. humus, 1 cup of fruit (purple grapes, kiwi, pineapple, honeydew melon & strawberries), Diet coke

I cleaned the front entranceway, the dining room, the basement and my washroom. It really took a long time because I usually would do one room a night or something. Weekends Are Too Short!

Hey all,

Saturday was the banquet at the Westin. It was fun getting all dressed up and fancy, and getting to stay over in a nice hotel. We got a free upgrade to a Premium room with king sized bed and flat screen tv on the wall. Not that we were there long, but still it was nice! I had a blast as I always do with Brian.

Meals from Saturday:

Breakfast- 2 slices of weight watchers toast, 1 tbsp. peanut butter, 1 cup of skim milk

Lunch- 5 basil and olive oil breton crackers, 2 tbsp. light spinach dip, clementine

Snack- Apple, peanut butter granola bar

Dinner (buffet)- 3 types of salad: 1 tomato, onion & vinagrette salad, 1 regular salad with vinagrette dressing and 1 veggie, chickpeas and olive oil salad. I also had approximately 2 oz. roast beef, 2 slices of lean turkey deli meat, 2 baby potatoes (I think coated in herbs and oil), plus 2 coors lights

I skipped the dessert, and any of the pastas and heavier stuff. I also did 30 mins of wii fit in the morning. I think I did very well!

Sundays meals:

Breakfast- 3/4 cup of dry cereal, Banana

Lunch- 1/2 bag of bistro express entree chicken fried rice, Apple, 1 cup of skim milk

Snack- S'mores granola bar

Dinner- 1 cup of pasta, 1/4 cup of marinara sauce, 2 oz. chicken, 1/2 cup veggies (cooked in oil)

Snack- Diet pop, 2 advent calendar chocolates (35 calories each)

There was cheesecake for dessert, and I thought about indulging for a treat... but there were no individual pieces less than 400 calories so I decided to hold off.

Dane Cook was HILARIOUS

I had such an absolute blast at the Dane Cook show last night! He was so flippin' hilarious. Honestly, as were his two opening acts! My cheeks and abs hurt from laughing so much before Dane Cook even came on. But he did not disappoint, my friends.

Before the show, Brian and I met up with some friends for dinner at Jack Astors. We tried to reserve a table for 13 (yeah right, eh?) but the traffic was so bad that we did not get there until closer to 5:30pm and at that point, the place was packed! I had called that morning but they had no reservations left for the day so I'm guessing they were prepared for a busy night. We still managed to get six people in our booth, and the other seven were sitting at a table nearby so we got to go over and talk to them before leaving for the show. My dinner was so delicious! I looked up the menu in the morning, as did Val, and we both agreed on the top two healthy choices for dinner. There was a salad with chicken (I think), vinagrette dressing, toasted sesame seeds, can't remember what else. And there was a grilled meditaranean chicken sandwich on focaccia bread with goat cheese (and then a garden salad as the side of course). I went for the sandwich because it sounded delicious, and I knew I'd need something a little more filling than the salad. Thanks Val for helping me decide! Oh, and happy studying this weekend... I know you'll do amazing on your exam tomorrow!

Meals for yesterday:

Breakfast- 2 slices of weight watcher's toast, 1 tbsp. peanut butter, 1 cup of skim milk

Snack- Apple

Lunch- 1/2 bag of bistro express entree, chicken fried rice (200 calories, 2 g. fat), Sugar free pudding

Snack- Chocolate peanut butter granola bar

Dinner- Diet coke, Grilled medaterranian chicken on herbed foccacia bread with lettuce, tomato, onion and goat cheese, side garden salad with garlic vinagrette dressing

Tonight is Brian's Martial Arts banquet / buffet dinner so I'm pretty excited to get all dressed up, take pictures, dance, stay over in the hotel. It's going to be a fun night and I'll update that tomorrow!

Tomorrow is Dane Cook concert! I'm so pumped! And then Saturday is the banquet at the Westin where I get to get all dolled up. It's going to be a great weekend....though a hectic one....with a lot of temptation! I can handle it though :-)

Lunch- Subway 6" veggie sub on whole wheat with lettuce, tomato, pickles, swiss cheese and light mayonnaise, Diet coke

Snack- Sugar free pudding, chocolate peanut butter granola bar

Dinner- French onion soup

Good Workouts Tonight!

"Oh the weather outside is frightful..." I won't sing the rest because it's not delightful and I don't want to let it snow, let it snow, let it snow. It's miserable out today! It is pretty to watch from the window though....but brrrr! And the roads are brutal too.... Many people got to leave work early to make the trek home.... I did not. Oh wells! I'm inside now :-) After I got home from work, I had an early dinner because I was starving, and then I went back outside for a lovely (not!) walk to Val's house for workouts. You'd think that weather would've kept me inside, but I really do enjoy our workouts. She wanted to do 45 minutes tonight, so I decided to start on the bike. The bike is much harder for me than the elliptical (which is what I usually do). So I did 12 minutes on the bike and then 33 minutes on the elliptical (level 6, incline 20%), followed by 5 minutes of stretching. I think I might feel it tomorrow! Fingers crossed!

Meals for today:

Breakfast - Homemade banana chocolate chip muffin (fattening yes, but a rare indulgence that was burned off in my workout!), Clementine

Snack- Green tea

Lunch- 9 savory seeds crackers, 2 tbsp. roasted red pepper humus, Pear, 1 cup of grape tomatoes

Snack- 100 calorie granola bar

Dinner- Weight Watcher's Smart Ones chicken fajita pizza, Diet dr. pepper, Advent calendar chocolate (35 calories)

Snack (post workout)- Mini bag of salt and pepper popcorn (190 calories)

Biggest Loser Finale Night!

What an exciting night! I won't post spoilers in case anyone who wants to watch the finale hasn't yet....but let me just say the contestants looked fantastic! In particular I'd say Rebecca (wow!) and Danny! It definitely provided me the inspiration to continue along this journey....it's hard sometimes to see everyone around you eating junk food.... but I'm feeling good! I also have sore muscles from dodgeball last night for the first time since my first game 12 weeks ago! Which means I definitely kicked it up a notch last night! I mean, the sore arm muscle is obviously from the car accident, but my legs, well that's all dodgeball baby!

Meals for today:

Breakfast - Delite bar, Apple, Yogurt

Snack - Pear

Lunch - Starbucks "skinny" hazelnut latte, 9 savory seeds crackers, 2 tbsp. roasted red pepper humus, Clementine

Snack- Peanut butter granola bar

Dinner - 1 chicken tornado (200 calories), 1 cup of salad (lettuce, cucumber, grape tomatoes and green pepper), 1 tbsp. olive oil and fig vinagrette dressing

Snack - Advent calendar chocolate (30 calories), Diet dr. pepper, 1 pkg. of 33% less sugar maple and brown sugar oatmeal

Strange Day....

So on our way to dodgeball tonight, we got into a car accident.... I'm fine! Just a little sore! This crazy woman hit us from the side (I have no idea what she was doing!) It hit my side so I hit my shoulder and head, but no serious injuries! (perhaps a bit of whiplash?) She claims she was trying to do a u-turn (bad idea!) and later on said, "Oh it was so slippery out." Honestly, she just had no clue. If you don't know how to drive, stay off the road! Thankfully my friend Tanya, who was driving, spun the car all the way around so that we stayed on the same side of the road and parked there. Had she panicked even for 2 seconds, we would've slid into oncoming traffic. Thank you Tanya for my life! (seriously). That accident could've been far worse!

On a more positive note: We were so close to our dodgeball game and it was the semi finals! Obviously Tanya and her boyfriend had to stay at the car until they filled out the reports / the police arrived... but the team almost had to forfeit because 5 of the 10 players were in this car! So someone already at the gym drove back to get us and we ended playing! I had to play the entire game (with no breaks) because we were low on girls (2 girls need to be on at all times). Well friends, we won our game and get to battle for 1st place in the finals next Monday night! Now that the adreniline of the night is slowing down, my back is starting to hurt a bit.... But I'll take it easy this week and be all set for next Monday night!

Meals for today:

Breakfast- 1/3 cup of oatmeal, 1tbsp. peanut butter, 1 cup of skim milk

Snack- 1 cup of blueberries, 1 strawberry yogurt

Lunch- Chicken carbonera lean cuisine, Apple, Diet dr pepper

Snack- Special k granola bar

Dinner- 1 tortilla, 1/2 can of tuna, 2 tbsp. roasted red pepper humus, Pear, 1 bottle of 10 calorie vitamin water

1 Month Down.... and 11.8 lbs Lighter!

Good morning all,

I only lost 1lb. this week.... I worked really hard for it though! I just have to remember that I've lost 11.8 lbs in 4 weeks.... averaging out basically 3lbs per week still. So that's good! I'm pretty proud of that :-) And now.... I don't weigh myself for 3 weeks....eeeks!

The End of a Fantastic Weekend!

Okay, so now for a more extensive post! I had a wonderful weekend. Friday evening Brian and I just stayed in and watched tv. I was asleep before 11pm! Saturday we went Christmas shopping (which was quite successful!), saw the movie Ninja Assassin in theatres (better than I expected!), grabbed subway for dinner and headed to his place to watch movies. Today I walked to the stores on Innes Road, shopped for dresses (I bought two!), and walked home. My legs are tired from all the walking I did! I then wrapped more presents and did a couple loads of laundry. I feel very accomplished this weekend, but still feel like there's so much to do! These next few weeks are going to be insanely busy!

Goals for the upcoming week:
- I hope to work out Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday since my weekend is going to be crazy.
- Eat extremely healthy (and very light) all week because I am going out for dinner on Friday and eating at a buffet on Saturday.

Okay so Val and I have created a little challenge. She weighs herself daily, and noticed that I'm becoming a little obsessive with the number on the scale, so after my weigh in tomorrow morning her and I are going to go three full weeks without weighing ourselves! It's scary because over Christmas there are so many temptations and dinners out that I will want to weigh myself to monitor, but I think I can stay on track without knowing how much I've lost or maintained. I'll keep you all posted on how that goes! Anytime I weigh myself during the three weeks, I'll owe Val Starbucks.

Meals for today:

Breakfast- 1/3 cup of oatmeal, 1 tbsp. peanut butter, 1 cup of skim milk

Snack- Apple

Lunch- 3 slices of potato and chive melba toast, 2 tbsp. of roasted red pepper humus, Pear, 1 sugar free pudding

Progress....

I just got back from going to a candle party that Brian's mom was hosting. It was so much fun! It was a spa themed one so we all gave ourselves mini pedicures on top of getting to see what new candles the catalogue had to offer. My sister and I are going to host our own party in January! We went over for dinner beforehand and there was temptation everywhere. While it may not have been the healthiest day, I think I made some great choices! Here is what was served:
Ceasar salad
Whole wheat buns
Ribs
Chicken Wings
Baked Potatoes
Wine
Coleslaw
Macaroni Salad
Apple Blossoms with Vanilla Iced Cream for dessert
Chips, spinach dip, dessert squares and assorted chocolates during the event

I had some ceasar salad (without the croutons or bacon bits), 1 piece of ribs, 1 chicken wing, 1 small baked potato. I skipped the bun, the desserts, the wine, and all appetizers! I am quite proud of myself :-) I'm really noticing how much I have changed. I'm not as nervous to go out and have fattier foods (like ribs for example), and am able to have just a little bit and skip out on dessert to make up for it.

Anyways, meals for today:

Breakfast: 3/4 cup of cereal, 1 cup of skim milk

Snack: Apple

Lunch: 1 tortilla, 2 tbsp. low fat artichoke and asiago dip, Clementine, 1 prune yogurt, Diet dr. pepper

Snack: Peanut butter granola bar

Dinner: 1 piece of ribs, 1 chicken wing, 1 small baked potato, 1 serving ceasar salad, Diet coke

Plus I drank A TON of water!

Updates!

I ended up doing level 5 for the whole time on a 20% incline and did 35 minutes. Next week perhaps it will be upped again? This is getting addictive...I think it might be time for a gym pass....

Workouts Tonight!

I'm actually not making up excuses for myself as to why I should skip the workout....I'm actually looking forward to it. I guess it really does become a habit after a couple of weeks.... Don't get me wrong, I am beyond exhausted today....but I think this workout will do me some good! Plus, it gives me hangout time with Val! :-)

I'm going to a potluck at work later in the month and I told them I'd bring an appetizer. Does anyone have any healthy ideas? I was thinking of maybe making a roasted red pepper dip.... and hollow out a red pepper as the bowl for the dip? And maybe bring crackers and cut up veggies to dip in.... anyone have a good and simple recipe? Or any other ideas? Let me know!
